Tuesday 05/19/15 – The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and common monetary violations uncovered by DOL Wage and Hour Division investigations
Objective:
Brian will discuss the basic provisions of the FLSA and how they apply to the business types and industries represented by the HR professionals in the audience. Typical violations and how to avoid them will also be discussed and put into useful context with examples taken from actual enforcement activities. This presentation will be informative in a critical area of compliance knowledge that typically falls directly under the purview and of the HR professional. Ample opportunity will be provided for questions and answers.
