    Objective:

    Ensuring that each new employee has a consistent, customized onboarding experience helps engagement, retention, and productivity.

    WVU is examining the first-year employee experience and has established a simple process that allows the hiring supervisor to connect immediately and often with the new employee throughout their first year of employment to set them up for success. Special emphasis placed on organizational alignment around mission, values, and engagement.

    Some of the topics will include:

    • Why the first year matters the most
    • How to create alignment
    • How we use the employee lifecycle to increase engagement
    • New website specifically designed for new employees
    • Mountaineer Experience/NEO
    • Customized onboarding toolkits for new employees and hiring supervisors

    This program is pending approval for 1.5 credit hours of general recertification credits from HRCI and SHRM.
