    Objective:

     

    Staying on top of benefits and human resource changes requires employers, working with Human Resources to constantly evaluate the needs, wants and expectations of the workforce.  According to the U.S. Department of Labor benefits costs are typically 30% of an employee’s total compensation package.  Discovering the right benefits packages to attract, engage, and retain human capital talent requires awareness and planning to ensure benefits are cost effective and suitable for the work force.

     

    In today’s hiring market, many believe a generous benefits package is essential for attracting and retaining top talent.  According to Glassdoor’s 2015 Employment Confidence Survey, about 60% of people report that benefits and perks are a major factor in considering whether to accept a job offer.  The survey also found that 80% of employees would choose additional benefits over a pay raise.

     

    When considering the competitive benefits arena, employers need the latest information on how to negotiate through new regulations, demographic shifts, and technology disruptions in revenue and profit models.  We will explore some benefits trends for 2018 and beyond.
