    Embracing the Difference:  Transform Communication in YOUR Workplace with the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator

    Objective:

    It can be said that at the heart of all conflict lies some form of communication breakdown.   One misinterpreted command or comment taken out of context can spawn a series of costly and avoidable interpersonal conflicts in the workplace.  The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, or MBTI, theorizes that interpersonal conflicts are generally not perpetuated by one’s intent to harm another, but through a lack understanding of basic personality preferences that all people possess.  By shedding light onto these differences, our perceived flaws become accepted as strengths, while our weaknesses become areas of opportunity to be explored and learned.

    Learning Objectives:

    1)  Differences between Introverts and Extroverts, the master key to conflict

    2)  Understand the four primary ways people process information

    3)  Structure vs. Autonomy – Identify general approaches to life

    4)  Become more aware of self-personality preferences (in order to be more aware of others’)
